The simulator was originally developed as a research universal flight simulator for the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague, where it is also installed and used (more information here).

The main advantage is its variability in cockpit arrangement; individual parts of the cockpit can be easily moved or replaced. A variety of cockpit instruments and control systems can be tested and verified in the simulator.

An electric motion platform with six degrees of freedom is implemented in the simulator, which is the latest motion platform developed by Pragolet, hereby a high simulation fidelity is ensured including the possibility of simulation of critical situations.

The projection system is based on four LCD monitors, which cover significant field of view of the pilot.
