Earthquake simulator is a device for simulating earthquake, which was developed especially for Planetarium in Hradec Kralove.
The vibration is excited by eccentric rotor that is attached to an asynchronous motor controlled by a frequency converter. The amplitude and frequency of the vibration can be set by changing the frequency. Four levels of earthquake intensity are preset which can be selected from a operator console.
